Art, Nibbles & a Dive into the Nutrition of the Med
Step back into holiday mode and spend an evening beside the Mediterranean - without having to leave the room.
Join artist Ella Berthoud and nutritional therapist Belle Amatt for a relaxed, creative evening of painting, cocktails, Mediterranean-inspired nibbles and conversation, centred on one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic images: the sardine.
Ella will guide you in creating your own sardine-inspired painting using acrylic paints, while Belle explores how we can bring the pleasures and principles of the Mediterranean diet into our kitchens with a 21st-century mindset.
The Mediterranean diet is much more than a list of ingredients. It’s a way of eating that celebrates food, pleasure and social connection. It is abundant in plants, pulses, vegetables, olive oil, herbs and grains - and, traditionally, fish. But how might we carry that philosophy forward while making conscious choices that are kinder to our oceans?
Expect Mediterranean-inspired cocktails and mocktails, a trio of delicious plant-based dips, recipe ideas to take home, and plenty of opportunity to paint, chat and enjoy the evening.
Your evening includes:
A guided sardine-inspired painting session
Mediterranean-themed cocktails and mocktails
A trio of plant-based dips
An introduction to the Mediterranean diet and how we might rethink it for the 21st century
Conversation about sustainability, food choices and honouring the ocean
Recipe ideas to take home
All painting materials
Optional dress code: A Nautical Nudge
