Real Lives - Nutrition Journeys - Client 1 - Exploring the Microbiome

zoom boom.jpg

In this 2 part re-run of REAL LIVES case study 1 we follow the case of KARL a client whose IBS symptoms are driven by stress and dysbiosis.

About this Event

A 2 part talk on IBS. Friday 19th June and Friday 26 June at 11 am

Ever wondered what a private stool test could do to improve your IBS case or that of a loved one? Or maybe you’re a nutrition student or recently qualified and are looking to enhance your knowledge in this area. I have put together some educational Zoom sessions which follow REAL cases. With my client’s permission (of course all personal details have been modified) I will talk you through the potential driving factors of chronic IBS, through the strategies used up until the point of resolution. The first 2 episodes follow the case of Karl. In episode 1 we will talk through Karl’s symptoms and contributing factors to his IBS. We will discuss the gut brain connection and look through his Genova test results which were incredibly enlightening.

In episode 2 (26 June) we’ll discuss his progress and the dietary and supplement strategies which led to his rapid progression: from daily drastic symptoms to 95% recovery.

It was in autumn 2019 that Karl contacted me to request help with his gut issues. After a period of prolonged stress, he was suffering greatly from IBS type symptoms which were very much impacting upon his work life and sleep pattern. The combination of poor digestion and insomnia can escalate into even greater health problems, so I was delighted to assist him on his return to peak health.

Here is a testimonial he wrote after just months of working on our nutrition and lifestyle plan:

Belle’s care, diligence and clinical detail in helping resolve my gut issues has been

amazing. On her advice I took a full spectrum GI test which targeted the cause of my gut issues and enabled a speedy resolution to be found. My thinking was that we readily pay for a car service each year, so why not service our bodies properly? In under 3 months my gut health has improved 75% and I anticipate full recovery within 6 months."

In my last Zoom meeting with Karl I decided it was time to sign him off as prior to our virtual consultation he emailed me this,

‘My gut continues to improve. In fact, I don’t feel any real symptoms at all. No bloating, gas seems to be ’normal’ and my stools are firm….my gut feels 90% if not more health wise’.
