Supplements I’m packing for my Health Retreat

April 21, 2026 Belle Amatt

I travel light. Space is tight when packing for a health retreat so supplements that find their way into my flight bag are always chosen carefully, Here are 3 which I’m prioritising.

1. Targeted Detox Support by Hifas de Terra: Polyporus & Fluid Balance

I’m taking Hifas de Terra DETOX primarily for one reason: Polyporus umbellatus.

This is a mushroom that does not get enough attention. Clinically, I consider this as a fluid regulator. Polyporus has traditionally been used to support the kidneys and lymphatic system, helping the body move excess fluid more efficiently.

For anyone prone to water retention, puffiness, or that sluggish, heavy feeling, this is incredibly useful. It works gently, supporting natural drainage so it’s ideal in a retreat setting where the goal is to support elimination of toxins via the kidneys.

Combined with Maitake and vitamin C, it creates a formula that supports both immune modulation and fluid balance.

2. Foundational Cellular Support: OPTI VITA & Alpha Lipoic Acid by Natroceutics

Next is Natroceutics OPTI VITA, which I use as my baseline nutritional insurance. However, it’s far from a standard multivitamin.

What makes this formula particularly interesting comes down to three things:

  • Polyphenol density – The Oxxynea® blend delivers over 100 plant polyphenols from sources such as olive leaf, pomegranate, green tea, grapefruit, and bilberry. These compounds play a key role in cellular signalling, inflammation regulation, and resilience.

  • Bio-Enhanced® R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (RLA) – This is the form I specifically look for in clinic. Alpha lipoic acid is unique because it’s both water- and fat-soluble, meaning it can function across different areas of the cell. It also helps regenerate other antioxidants like vitamins C and E, making it more of a network antioxidant than a standalone one. From a clinical perspective, we are looking at mitochondrial support, blood sugar balance, and neurological protection. All fitting wonderfully into my longevity drive.

  • Liposomal delivery – Absorption is everything. Liposomal formats enhance bioavailability, meaning the body can utilise the nutrients effectively, particularly useful when routine, digestion, and stress levels are shifting during a retreat.

This product is covering micronutrients, antioxidants, and cellular protection in one step, which allows me to keep everything else simple.

3. Oral Microbiome Support

Finally, I’m packing NATCH Oral “Screaming Polar Bear” (amongst other of their products). Loving the name but there’s a more serious reason behind it.

Oral health remains one of the most overlooked areas in wellness. As a practitioner, I pay close attention because the oral microbiome is directly linked to systemic inflammation. These small consistent oral health habits will pay off in the long run.

A retreat space offers the perfect moment to reset habits and bump self care up to the top of the pile.

NATCH products are designed to support a balanced oral environment, rather than simply sterilising it. This distinction is in line with supporting the terrain rather than annihilating bacteria. The aim is to reduce harmful bacteria while maintaining beneficial strains that contribute to overall health.

A Final Thought

There will be other supplements which find their way into my luggage. It’s about being strategic. This is just round one.

Stay tuned.
